As you may know, our second is nearing 4 months old. And let me say... Brace yourself. It has been a joyful, lovely, yet upside-down, right-side up, crazy, crazy adjustment! You could find Oia, Esme AND myself crying all at the same time during the first 3 months but now the juggling act is getting easier. Overall, it has been a neat experience for Oia to have a sibling and Elijah will blossom in ways only a sibling can encourage.
I'm guessing you have some anxiety and worries given all that you have experienced with the newborn Elijah. My wish is that those concerns are at a minimum so you can enjoy your growing belly in sheer pregnancy bliss. I'll be right here waiting on more baby and big bro updates! Hugs to you all.
congrats!! I was going to write that I'm so greatful you keep us all updated on your family. I started reading your blog when my little guy was about 6 months old and it's been nice to see him and Elijah grow up. My son is 3 now. We have another son who's a year and a half. And that relationship has been awesome. to witness and be a part of. Siblings bring out the best in each other. AND! I'm convinced it's helped our older son progress socially and verbally. and he has someone to fight with! It's awesome. CONGRATS!! and more CONGRATS!
Dear Lisa, Andy and the wonderful Elijah. When my son Ruairi was born I needed support and even if you didn't know it you all keep me going and give me hope and continue to do so. Tears of happiness and joy, your baby is a very lucky to be heading for such a brilliant family. Love all the way from Northern Ireland The Fraser Family xxxxx
Lisa, I am SO EXCITED for you guys!!! Wahoo!! What fantastic news. Having two kids is so amazing... it is so precious and funny to watch them interact. I hope you are feeling well... and I can't wait to hear all the updates along the way. YAY!!!
Thank you so, so much for the lovely, rejoicing, uplifting comments. You've brought me to tears (hey, I'm pregnant!) and have really made me feel special. It's so nice to hear from all of you and I'm so grateful to have so many wonderful people who read about our little life. Thank you. Really, it means a lot to me.
Congratulations Lisa!! I found your blog after the Feast and have enjoyed reading your updates. I'm so glad to have met you, Andy, and Elijah at the Feast in Galveston. I hope our paths cross again and I can meet your new baby boy/girl.
This is a story of overcoming the odds, putting trust in God, and the miracle of prayer. Our son, Elijah, was born in August of 2007. As a result of the oxygen deprivation that occured during his birth he spent his first three (agonizing) weeks in the hospital. When he was seven days old, we were told that Elijah had "severe brain damage" on both sides of his brain. At that moment we entered Elijahland and we've been here ever since. We're learning to live with the diagnoses Elijah has started to accumulate, but mostly we're grateful that God chose us to be his parents. It is truly a privilege to live in Elijahland with our handsome boy. Thanks for visiting.

Grandpa Dennis is also happy.
That 2nd picture of Elijah makes me smile as well.
He probably doesn't know it, but his best friend is on the way.
Love from your Dad.
