Really, do...our first successes were wake-up pees. Lots of praise when something comes out. Then as we progressed, if he peed in his pants on purpose (because he wanted to play instead of go to the bathroom), then we stayed on the toliet until he peed again, to show that it takes more time, if you ignore it. Seems to be working.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13839129629833400644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-254856431918445996.post-21079165614382569162011-02-18T19:39:01.909-06:002011-02-18T19:39:01.909-06:00HA....Pity potty....Lisa, you crack me up, too. H...HA....Pity potty....Lisa, you crack me up, too. HA. Well, you could always buy that book, "How to potty train your child in one day." Yeah, I know, it doesn't work.

Love you, MomKathynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-254856431918445996.post-24109288959868933482011-02-18T18:08:41.411-06:002011-02-18T18:08:41.411-06:00Same place as you right now. I think my child may ...Same place as you right now. I think my child may be more ready for the potty training thing than me. Honestly, I don't want anything to do with it. Here's what I'm doing so far...

She wears pull-ups to school where they put her on the potty about every hour. The pull-ups are more for convenience than anything else bc she rarely goes at school. I think it's a concentration thing, not completely relaxed, etc. At home, I have chosen set times to put her on the potty. When she wakes in the morning, when she wakes from nap and before bath. It's a start and most attempts are successful (pee only). Soon, we'll get more serious but I'm in no rush... that's terrible, isn't it?

I have found that Oia has to be completely relaxed to "let go" and pee. It must be a CP thing. Her feet have to be rested on the floor and she must not be holding/playing with anything. She really has to concentrate and we whisper while she is trying to go so we can listen to the pee-pee. Crazy, I know but she thinks it's the funniest thing.

Here's to potty parties... Good luck!Mohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10083710958029714414noreply@blogger.com
